Attracting and Retaining Local Businesses
Creating a city where residents can live, work, shop, and play requires building a strong local economy for businesses to thrive.
Small businesses are the backbone of local economies. COVID had a huge impact on small businesses. I am proud to have lead the efforts to expand supportive resources for our small businesses by expanding grants, providing educational resources, and strengthening our partnership with our Chamber of Commerce.
I am a strong proponent in growing the City’s Economic Development Department so that Elk Grove is better suited to attract business and large employers to invest in our city. More local jobs will not only boost our local economy, it will lessen traffic congestion.
In December we welcomed Kubota Tractor Corporation to Elk Grove and hundreds of new jobs. As a Board of Director for the Greater Sacramento Economic Council, I work hard to bring new businesses to our city.

The City cannot do this work alone. Having a strong partnership with our business community is essential to helping us attract and retain businesses. This is why I am proud to have the endorsements of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, Region Business, Sacramento Association of Realtors, and more.
